Flexible workforce

11/06/2010
We aim to provide a platform for NHS staff and key organisational partners to discuss flexible or contingency staffing issues and help determine the priorities for national work programmes.

Ward staffKey partners include the Department of Health (DH), NHS Professionals and NHS Buying Solutions - Health (formerly PASA).

The focus of the programme is on the quality of flexible staff, their availability - both through supply and demand factors - and overall value for money.

The programme is supported by a flexible workforce forum which meets on a regular basis and encourages feedback on key issues through this website. We also undertake to update NHS staff on key legislative or employment changes, such as the Agency Workers Directive, which may impact on flexible staffing arrangements.

As part of our improvements to the NHS Employers’ site, we are asking our users to take part in a short survey and we would be very grateful if you would join them... it will take around 6 minutes to complete and responses are kept completely confidential.
