Ill health case studies 

This section has case studies to illustrate how the proposals would work in practice. A range of scenarios based on age, length of service and salary are illustrated.

Each of the scenarios set out the benefits a member could access if granted a pension under the current arrangements and are compared against the benefits available under the new proposals.

Background to scenarios

Based on advice from occupational health, the employer understands that the scheme member has a strong likelihood of meeting the permanent incapability criteria.
