Local authority circulars (LACs) are issued by the Department of Health (DH) or by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES). Some are issued jointly. Recent DH and jointly-issued LACs are displayed here. Use the publications and letters library to find earlier ones. From 1 January 2007, DH LAC series numbers were amended to distinguish them from DfES-issued LACs. This is indicated by (DH) in the series number.
